librados2 software package provides RADOS distributed object store client library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install librados2
librados2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the librados2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep librados2 *
You will get with librados2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
